Ailsa Cox
Since leaving Walsall, where she was born and raised, Ailsa Cox has lived in the North West of England: Manchester, Liverpool and now the Pennines. Her stories have appeared in numerous magazines, such as Confingo, and anthologies, including Best British Short Stories 2014 and The Mechanics’ Institute Review. A collection, The Real Louise, appeared from Headland Press in 2009. Other books include Writing Short Stories (Routledge) and Alice Munro (Northcote House). She is the founder of the Edge Hill Prize for a published short story collection and the editor of the journal, Short Fiction in Theory and Practice (Intellect Press). |
