David Wheldon  
​David Wheldon read medicine at Bristol and has since practised in many parts of the country. He is the author of four novels: the first, The Viaduct, was published by The Bodley Head in 1983 and won the Triple First Award. The Course of Instruction, A Vocation and At the Quay followed.
