We are delighted to announce the publication of four new Nightjars for the summer months. What do you mean the summer’s half over? OK, there have been some operational difficulties that have delayed the appearance of these new titles on the website, but here they are, at last: another story from David Gaffney, ‘Flight Paths’, which is paired with Joe Stretch’s ‘This Area Only’, while Leila Martin and RL Summerling are appearing in Nightjar for the first time, with ‘Kodavision’ and ‘Through Narrowing Veins’ respectively. Design, as ever, is by johnoakeydesign.wordpress.com. The images for Gaffney and Stretch were taken especially by Nicholas Royle, who took the photograph for the Summerling cover years ago and has been sitting on it while waiting for the right story. The Martin image is by Wyl Menmuir, whose Nightjar story, ‘Rounds’, was published in 2016. We are grateful to him and to John Oakey, as we are to Reeds (Cumbria) Limited. Since we last published, Royal Mail have put their prices up again, but our prices remain the same for the time being, with increasing use of carefully cleaned recycled materials in our packaging, and delivery by Royle Mail where convenient. Subscribers should have already received these new titles. If you are interested in a ten-title subscription, please get in touch.
